Emblemtek distributes dot-matrix based label printing systems that allow users to create their own garment identification labels in-house. These labels are laundry resistant and are primarily used to identify garments through the rental and laundering process. Older, slower speed dot-matrix systems are still available.

Computerized garment labeling systems are used by industrial and institutional laundries to identify, track and sort uniforms and clothing throughout the laundry process. These heat seal fabric labels are imprinted with a laundry resistant indelible ink using conventional dot matrix printers and personal computers. Custom labeling software is used in conjunction with the printer system, creating a complete labeling package.
The label tape is manufactured from a smooth, finely woven, soft-feel, 100% polyester material and is coated with an industrial grade high-melt film backing. The label tape is perforated to size and shipped in roll form, in a variety of colours and label sizes. A low-melt commercial version is available, however only in limited colour and size formats.
Through the use of custom labeling software, rental laundries, hospital laundries, large nursing homes, correctional facilities, large hotels and clothing rental firms use these systems to key enter information pertaining to garments, wearers, routes and other tracking information.Low-melt labels can be used in commercial applications such as smaller nursing homes, dry cleaners and camps. For those that do not have the volume to warrant their own system, we offer a complete labeling service, in either high or low-melt formats.
