Chenille emblems are manufactured using blended chenille yarns embroidered onto felt materials. The thickness of the looped yarn creates a piled texture on these emblems, which are usually fully embroidered. Standard 100% polyester embroider threads are sometimes incorporated into designs for finer detailing and texture contrasting. Chenille emblems are cut to shape and equipped with a felt or non-woven backing material for sewn-on application.
