Shipping Methods: Courier
Emblemtek’s primary courier provider for both inbound and outbound shipping is United Parcel Service (UPS). From experience, UPS has been found to provide the most consistent levels of service across Canada, while offering the best tracking, visibility and integration tools for both Emblemtek and its customer base. They offer a variety of next-day express and standard delivery services to most major urban and rural centers across the country in relation to the destination location. Enhanced services such as early morning and Saturday delivery are also available to specific areas.
Emblem and transfer shipments are typically sent via an express service, which usually results in next day delivery. Heavier shipments and shipments for stock products are often sent via standard services, which usually arrive on the next day to most destinations in southern Québec and Ontario. Standard shipments destined for addresses in the Maritimes or Western Canada are usually delivered in a range from 2 to 5 days.
Unless otherwise noted, shipments will be sent prepaid on Emblemtek’s account, with related fees billed on your invoice with the goods being purchased. UPS shipments will also be sent with insurance coverage as a protection against loss or damage. You may opt to have shipments sent to you collect on your UPS account, and may decide to waive insurance fees, but we must be notified at the time of order placement. In these cases, Emblemtek will not be responsible for any direct or indirect service fees, service delays, losses or damages.
As an alternative to UPS you may decide to have your shipments sent to you via Purolator Courier, FedEx or DHL, billed collect to your account. If you choose any of these providers, we must be notified at the time of order placement, and provided with your account number. Since these providers do not deliver or pick-up from Emblemtek on a daily basis, there may be a delay of one day while pick-up arrangements are made. These alternatives, which are outside of our normal processes, are subject to a handling fee of $5.00 that will be applied to your invoice. This fee covers the costs related to maintaining a supply of shipping materials and to arrange for pick-up services from these providers. Once again, Emblemtek will not be responsible for any direct or indirect service fees, service delays, losses or damages.
Due to less than acceptable service experiences in the past, Emblemtek will not ship via CanPar, Dicom or other regional carriers. For an overview of specific and detailed service policies for UPS, please visit www.ups.com. Emblemtek will not be responsible for weather or mechanically related delays. If your purchases are prepaid and they include prepaid courier fees, orders cannot be combined at the time of shipping.
Shipping Methods: Postal
Customers may opt to have their shipments sent via Canada Post, using their regular mail, expedited mail or XpressPost services. Unless otherwise directed, we will attempt to use the least expensive service alternative in relation to the delivery requirement, product format and shipment weight. In many cases, insurance coverage will be applied to shipments sent via Canada Post, and handling fees do apply at this time. Postal fees will be billed on your invoice with the goods being purchased.
For an overview of specific and detailed service policies for Canada Post, please visit www.canadapost.ca. Emblemtek will not be responsible for any direct or indirect service fees, service delays, losses or damages of any kind, for shipments sent via Canada Post.
Shipping Methods: Transport
Specific shipments, directly related to product type and weight may be shipped by ground transport. Currently, Emblemtek uses TST Overland Express for its LTL (less-than-load) transport needs. Arrangements for these skidded shipments will be made at the time of final order preparation. Transport and insurance fees will be billed separately, if they are not included on the invoices for the goods being purchased. Notations for these shipping fees will relate back to the original order and/or invoice. Transit times for these shipments depend heavily on transport traffic, volumes and final destination. Emblemtek will not be responsible delays of any kind.
Drop-Shipments & Customer Goods
With advance notice, Customers can arrange with us to have any part or their entire order sent to other locations as a drop-shipment. When these needs arise, we will require the details of the items to be drop-shipped (item, quantity…), the full address of the destination locations and their related telephone numbers.
From time to time, customers may have goods, such as uniforms and sportswear for design embellishment or emblem application, sent directly to us as a drop-shipment from their distribution centers or suppliers. In such cases, our Customer Service Group should be notified of the inbound shipment and the related requirements (purchase order number, sizes, quantities, application instructions…). Emblemtek will not be responsible for lost or damaged goods that are in transit to our facilities, whether or not we were give prior notice.
