Emblemtek Solutions Group

The Company was founded and federally incorporated in 1980 as Ebik Sales, operating as a private consulting firm within the uniform rental and institutional laundry markets, specializing in heat seal mending and identification labeling systems.  By 1984, Ebik was fully active as the exclusive Canadian distributor for Penn Emblem, one of the largest emblem and uniform identification product manufacturers in the United States.  As such, the Company’s products included garment and linen mending materials, garment labeling systems, heat sealing equipment, and stock emblems.

By 1989, the Company expanded its emblem manufacturing operations to meet the increasing demands for faster, streamlined service, with continued focus on the uniform rental laundry industry.  Ebik became a market leader within a few short years, while taking industry-standard delivery times down from six weeks to just three.  In 1991, Ebik’s solution range expanded with the addition of Penn’s ColorPrint® emblem sublimation technology.  As a substitute for silkscreen emblems, the process revolutionized design, pricing and delivery capabilities, with emblems being manufactured in just five days, regardless of design complexity or number of colours.

As the Company maintained a steady growth trend through the 1990’s, it continued to establish strong relationships with an ever expanding customer base.  Building successes on the basis of valued service, superior quality at a fair price, Ebik quickly became the largest emblem supplier to the uniform rental laundry market in Canada.  Three week custom emblem delivery times were now trimmed down to a range of just seven to ten days.

Realizing there were opportunities that existed in other underserved, extended marketplaces, the Company’s focus was expanded to include the uniform manufacturing, uniform retail, sportswear, promotional, and imprint fields.  In harmony with this new direction, the Company’s name was changed in April 2000 to Ebik Id Solutions.

Seeing the growing potential coming from all market segments, the business continued to expand.  New products were developed and brought on line, while systems and processes were refined.  By the end of 2005, plans were already underway for another change, one that would highlight the Company’s product strength, technological advances, market leadership and commitment to customer relationships.  In January 2007 a new name and brand were launched, as Ebik Id Solutions became Emblemtek Solutions Group, a company serving over 2,500 customers in more than 670 communities across Canada, with over 25 different identification and embellishment solutions.  Producing 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, the Company has provided service to its valued customers in both official languages, from day-one.
